In business for over 18 years, Dreyfuss Construction provides general construction services to large and small construction clients with project budgets ranging from $2 million to $15 million. The company works in collaboration with owners, architects, and subcontractors to successfully complete their projects. Dreyfuss Construction’s specialty ranges from high-end multi-family residential construction to senior housing facilities. Their portfolio also includes major remodeling, preservation, and education facilities.
Pierre partnered with Dreyfuss Construction to complete the landscaping and irrigation for this multi-tenant facility. In accordance with the project requirements, low water plants were installed, as well as site furnishings and palm trees. Twelve Cecidium Desert Museum 48' box trees were installed on the property, which creates a beautiful, serene view for residents to enjoy from their balcony. The green bark trees with yellow, leafy flowers require very little watering and are expected to grow fairly quickly. Shrubs such as Aeonium, Myers Asparagus, and Aspidistra Elatior were also installed around the lounge area.
The project was the first supportive housing development funded from the $30 million City of Los Angeles Supportive Housing Loan Fund created in 2008. The Glenoaks Gardens supportive housing in Sun Valley, California now serves low income, single adults, many of whom are homeless and live with mental illness. The housing facility offers supportive services at no cost, including comprehensive mental health counseling case management and recovery support and employment programs. The completion to this project was not only imperative to the client, but also to the community.
