The Client

Morley Builders was first established in the 1940’s by Morley Benjamin, and in its 70+ year history has made its mark in Southern California construction.  Morley Builders is an employee owned company that makes the extra effort to focus on safety. They have been the recipient of many safety awards including 3 ASCC awards, 1 AGC award, and one Cal/Osha award. Within the Morley Builders umbrella are two companies, Morley Construction Company, which is one of Southern California’s largest general contractors, and Benchmark Contractors, which focuses on multifamily residential projects.

The Project

Blossom Plaza was awarded “GOLD” for best mixed-use project at the 2017 Los Angeles Business Journal’s Commercial Real Estate Awards.

Located in downtown Los Angeles’ Chinatown, Blossom Plaza is a residential-retail complex situated on Broadway and College Street near the Metro Gold Line. The mixed-use development provides a range of housing options from studios to townhouse style apartments. With its lanterns hung in the plaza, the aesthetic is perfectly matched to the neighborhood in which it resides.
